CodeStream’s 10.5 release changed codemarks from discussions to team action items by making it clear which discussions haven’t been resolved. CodeStream 10.6 now gives you more power to let people know when a discussion has been resolved by broadcasting the update to Slack.
When you create a codemark or a feedback request you can share it out to any channel or direct message on Slack, and you can also share it again anytime thereafter. CodeStream now makes it clear that a discussion has been shared to Slack by displaying the destination conversations in a new Shared To section.
Click on the conversation to jump straight to the post on Slack.
When the codemark or feedback request gets resolved/approved (or rejected or reopened), a reply is automatically posted to any corresponding conversations on Slack.
Many organizations have non-developers that participate in discussions, or at least passively observe them, through Slack, and these new notifications help keep those people in the loop as discussions or feedback requests get resolved.
Please share your thoughts and feedback @teamcodestream.
New Relic CodeStream integrates all of your essential dev tools, such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Slack, Teams, Jira, Trello and more, into VS Code, Visual Studio, and any JetBrains IDE.
During our daily stand-ups we demo features in development to allow everyone, which now includes you too, to stay in the loop and provide early feedback.
